Important message for businesses impacted by COVID19

COVID-19 Short-Term Absence Payment now available Resurgence Support Payment (RSP) activated

iStock 000011581302XSmallOn 17 February 2021 the Government activated the COVID Resurgence Support Payment.

Eligible businesses will be able to apply for the payment from Tuesday, 23 February 2021.

The RSP was announced before Christmas as part of the Government’s COVID support initiatives for businesses with reduced revenue due to COVID alert level increases.

To be eligible, businesses must experience a 30% drop in revenue or more over a 7-day period after the increased alert level – as well as meet a range of other RSP eligibility criteria.

As tax agents we can help you to apply for the RSP, if we have the authority to apply and hold a record of that authority.

You can find full information on the IR website at Resurgence Support Payment (RSP) (ird.govt.nz).

Stay safe during this uncertain period. Please call us on 09 520 9200 if you would like to consider moving forward with support assistance.
