Wage Subsidy

Last night the Minister of Finance, Grant Robertson, announced the Wage Subsidy will be reinstated due to NZ being back at Alert Level 4.


payroll wages salaries-423Businesses that expect a 40% loss of revenue due to Alert Level 4 can apply.

The subsidy is $600 per week for full-time employees and $359 per week for part-time employees.

Payments are expected to be paid within 3 days of application. Applications will open this Friday 20 August 2021 via the Work and Income website.
 

Resurgence Support

The COVID-19 Resurgence Support Payments will be reinstated, allowing businesses to get $1,500 plus an extra $400 per employee up to a maximum of 50 full-time employees. Applications for this subsidy will be through the Inland Revenue website. 

Businesses can apply for both payments.
