Alliott NZ Top 30 NZ Accountants for second year

Auckland’s Alliott NZ Chartered Accountants is recognised as one of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand’s (CAANZ) Top 30 accounting firms in New Zealand for the second year running.

Screenshot 2018-10-29 10A compilation of New Zealand’s top accounting firms has shone a light on the contribution made by NZ accountants. Accounting firms in New Zealand were ranked for the second time and the Top 30 list was published yesterday in Sunday Star-Times, in partnership with Fairfax Media and CAANZ.

A key theme for CAANZ is exploring the increasingly important role of digital innovation, technological disruption and the future of reporting.

Alliott NZ Directors Greg Millar and Vanessa Williams said, “Alliott NZ has enjoyed an immensely exciting year integrating the Alliott BW team into our business. We only have our team and our clients to thank for inspiring us every day and allowing us to benchmark alongside the country’s top firms.”

“We’ve enjoyed high uptake of our business advisory services and partnering with some pretty amazing tech stack providers who have allowed us to become more efficient and streamlined in our delivery, culminating in our firm becoming Xero Platinum Partners last month.”

“Being members of the Alliott Group alliance also allows us to service businesses in markets where smaller firms might not necessarily have resource. As members, we are part of worldwide, multi-jurisdiction expertise acting for larger companies by sharing relationships with network members, participating in projects on a group basis and sharing resources. We can step into new territories in terms of our global outlook with clients anywhere in the world who trust our ability to deliver.”

Peter Vial, the New Zealand country head of CAANZ, said the accountancy profession is changing in the face of digital disruption, and trust is key to accountants' futures.

"In a traditional sense, you would see your accountant in relation to your annual report, and your tax return. But that whole business model is changing. Accountants are moving away from just doing the numbers," Vial said.

"People will see their accountants about those things, but they will also be seeking strategic planning advice, valuation advice. It's an ongoing relationship that's really important and requires a deeper ongoing relationship built on trust."

Alliott NZ Ltd is located in Newmarket, Auckland, with a team of dedicated, experienced Chartered Accountants and business advisers passionate about helping NZ businesses grow and succeed. They were ranked as a New Zealand Top 30 accounting firm in 2017 as well as being a finalist in this year’s Newmarket Business Awards. CAANZ sponsored the rankings to promote the achievements of NZ firms and align with issues demonstrating performance in the accounting industry.
