| With the 2010/11 year end approaching on 31 March as well as changes to the tax and employment laws on 1 April the team at Alliott's has prepared a series of informational documents to help you through this busy period. |
It’s incredible to think that the end of the financial year for most people is at the end of this month!
As part of the preparation for year end you will shortly receive via email our annual tax return questionnaires for individuals and business entities.
If you haven’t received your questionnaires by the end of March please let us know and we will send replacements ASAP.

Some of the tax law changes announced in May last year come into effect from the start of the new financial year on 1 April.
For businesses these include -
A reduction in the company tax rate
Changes to allowable depreciation deductions
Changes to the rules for Loss Attributing Qualifying Companies (LAQCs) and Qualifying Companies (QCs)

There are various changes to the Holidays Act 2003 and the Employment Relations Act 2000 which come into effect on 1 April this year.
The change to these Acts include -
Cashing in annual holidays
Transferring public holidays to another work day
Extending trial periods to all employers
