GREGORY MILLAR
Director, CA (pp)
Greg joined Alliott NZ in 1986, became a Partner in 1991 and has been a Director of the firm since 2000.
He is responsible for heading one of the Business Services teams in the practice and prides himself on leading a team of experienced and knowledgeable accountants and advisors. The work undertaken by his team covers a wide variety including management accounting, preparation of annual financial statements and the associated tax work involved.
Having specialised in tax for more than 20 years, Greg has considerable expertise in tax effective structuring, tax risk management, domestic and international tax advice and tax due diligence. He has been instrumental in developing Alliott NZ's reputation as tax specialists.
Throughout his career, Greg has worked with many clients across a broad spectrum of industries. These have ranged from individual clients concerned about maintaining, growing and protecting their wealth and assets to small and medium size businesses requiring comprehensive tax, business planning and development services.
Greg’s clients appreciate his personal and down to earth approach, his high professional standards and knowledge as well as his commitment to developing a mutual relationship of honesty and trust.
Greg is married with two adult children. He enjoys trying to keep fit by playing tennis and attending the gym regularly.

VANESSA WILLIAMS
Director, B COM, CA (pp)
Vanessa has a dual role heading up the business advisory teams providing management and taxation services and also heading the audit sector of the firm.
She works with businesses in many industries including retail, manufacturing, property and also new and start up companies.
Vanessa has been with Alliott NZ since 1996 - before joining the company she spent time working at one of the big four accounting firms and spent a period of time working in New York.
She is married, has two fur-kids and generally spends her holidays somewhere warm in the sun.

LYALL BROWN
Consultant, CA (pp)
Lyall graduated from the Auckland Technical Institute in 1968 and was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1971. While studying to become an accountant, Lyall was employed by Foodstuffs (Auckland) Ltd in their Accounting Services Division and later in a role as Head Office Accountant. After returning from overseas in 1973 Lyall joined Alliott NZ and became a Partner in 1974.
Lyall is married with two grown up children and his leisure activities include running and golf. Lyall enjoys the personal contact he has with his clients, many of whom have been with the practice as long, if not longer, than he has.
In addition to his interest in all aspects of chartered accountancy, he also specialises in receiverships and liquidations. He has developed a specialist interest in the role of advising on family trusts and, in particular, the role of professional trustees.

JILL ROBERTSON
Senior Manager, CA
Jill graduated from Auckland Technical Institute in 1988 and was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand in 1989. She commenced her career in the finance industry working at Marac Finance and Nathan Finance. In 1987 she moved into the chartered accounting industry working at Hart & Co. in Howick.
A decade later Jill joined Alliott NZ part time and has worked her way to the top becoming a team leader at the dawn of the new millennium. She takes a special interest in business services, working directly with clients to understand and improve their businesses.
As a team leader Jill strives to get the best out of each individual under her guidance ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service. Outside the office Jill is married with two daughters who keep her very busy. She also puts in a few hours at her husband’s marine chandlery business in Takapuna.

EMMA CLARE
Manager, ACA
Emma started her career at a CA firm in Parnell before joining Alliott NZ in 1999. She studied part time at AUT while working full time. She completed her studies and was admitted to the Institute in 2003.
Emma works closely with many of our clients and specialises in doing contract work at clients’ premises to meet their in house accounting requirements and was promoted to manager in 2006.
Emma and her husband enjoy travel and are currently renovating their bungalow when time allows.
